Results of New Year's Eve Survey Revealed on Expanded Everything2000.com Web Site

DATELINE: SEATTLE

Dec. 22, 1998--We're just one year away and it appears most people haven't decided how they will spend New Years' Eve 1999.

Results from the latest Everything2000.com survey indicate 75% of respondents have not made reservations or purchased tickets for New Year's 1999, or any year 2000 celebration. The news contrasts with claims made by various tour organizations and cruise lines that their millennial packages are sold out.

These results are part of an expansion unveiled by Everything 2000 on its Web site http://www.everything2000.com. Everything 2000 is recognized as the premier source of comprehensive millennium and year 2000 news and information with daily millennial news updates and more than 3,000 listings of year 2000 related events and resources.

Complete survey results regarding Y2K, business, home and travel concerns are available on-line at Everything2000.com.

Visitors will also find the latest information on where top performers like Barbra Streisand, The Artist, Celine Dion, and the Rolling Stones may be performing on New Year's Eve 1999.

"Motoring the Millennium", is a new weekly column depicting the year long journey of Maud and Cesar Becerra as they drive through 50 states in a 1979 Malibu Classic station wagon.

Anyone interested in capitalizing on the millennium commerce bonanza will find an exhaustive and updated list of trademarks associated with "millennium," and "Y2K," compiled by trademark specialists at the law firm Dechert Price & Rhoads.

Beginning January 1, 1999, Everything 2000 will launch the "Year 2000 Photo Countdown" which will feature daily photographs from top photojournalists around the United States as they capture year 2000 preparations.

"With the Y2K computer bug grabbing more headlines, people are wondering if it's smart to travel or just stay home and wait it out," says John Locher, publisher of Everything 2000. "We want to clear up confusion and provide straight forward, unbiased information on Y2K and New Year's Eve 1999 celebrations so our visitors can make informed decisions."

Everything2000.com offers a one-stop resource with featured sections on millennial Events, Daily News, Computer Y2K, Products and Shopping, Travel Destinations, Countdown Clocks and Comedy.
